Lake Clark National Park and Preserve
Lake Clark National Park and Preserve is a national park in the United States of America located in southwest Alaska, approximately 100 miles (160 kilometres) southwest of Anchorage. From Telaquana Lake down to Kijik Village on Lake Clark, an ancient Dena’ina Athabascan path goes by the Telaquana Trail.
Early western explorers noted the Inland Dena’ina to be adept hikers, and trails connected all of the major settlements in the region and to summer camps. In the upper part of the Alaska Peninsula, the Telaquana route is connected to a broader network across Dena’ina territory.
