McConnell State Park

However, there are only a few lifeguards on duty. Four of the twenty campsites are reserved exclusively for campers staying in tents. Tents, modest recreational vehicles, and trailers are welcome in the remaining space.

The vast majority of McConnell State Park is open to hunting. All hunters in Pennsylvania must abide by the regulations set forth by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Ruffed grouse, squirrels, turkeys, white-tailed deer, and rabbits are some of the most often encountered game animals. Groundhog hunting is prohibited in the park. The waters of Slippery Rock Creek are regularly stocked by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission with trout and bass to ensure that fishermen have many opportunities to capture fish.
