Roland Cooper State Park is a scenic park in Alabama known for its beautiful lake, camping facilities, and recreational activities. This park is situated next to the tranquil Alabama River. It offers 55 RV sites, 15 primitive sites, 12 fully equipped cabins, and 2 primitive cabins that run on a generator from six in the morning until noon.

The park has a Day Use Area, a pavilion, and a boat launch. Thus, it has a good number of services. This 236-acre leisure park offers easy access to the natural surroundings, and it is located in a convenient location that is only a two-hour drive from Montgomery, Mobile, and Selma. The park’s 22,000-acre Miller’s Ferry Reservoir attracts anglers year-round to catch largemouth bass and other fish. Miller’s Ferry State Park contains the reservoir.

Fishing:

Roland Cooper State Park is a fishing mecca. You may fish while out on the water or find a nice secluded area when camping. There are plenty of crappie, catfish, and bream here, and the largemouth bass’s average weight is at least 3 pounds.

Anglers of all ability levels compete in exciting fishing events yearly to show off their talents in this lake’s bountiful waters. If you want to have a good day fishing here, purchase a fishing license before you arrive.

Boating:

You can kayaking, canoeing, tubing, or waterskiing on the tranquil lake at Roland Cooper State Park. You can get your boat going from the shore or nearby boat ramps. Rentals of kayaks and flat-bottom aluminum motor boats are available at the marina in the park.

For obvious reasons, everyone on the ship, even kids less than 8, must wear a life jacket. Relax on the lake while taking in the sights of the park.
