Chugach State Park
Chugach State Park is a stunning and easily accessible wilderness in the United States. Minutes from Anchorage’s conveniences, it provides an authentic Alaskan experience. There are many fun things to do around, and many of them have parking right next to them and nice, well-kept trails and facilities. Its approximately quarter-million acres make it one of the four largest state parks in the US.
South-central Alaska is bordered by the Chugach and Wrangell Mountains, Prince William Sound, and the Alaska Range. Thus, this region has different landscapes and difficult topography. Large ice fields and glaciers can be found in this area, as can several lakes.
