Stores Of Crater Of Diamonds State Park
Due to construction at the visitor center, the Crater of Diamonds gift shop has been temporarily relocated to the second floor of the Diamond Discovery Center. Caps, tees, mugs, pins, patches, and spoons, among other items, are available at the store. You can also find diamond-hunting equipment, polished rocks and minerals, trinkets, and field guides for gems and minerals. Tasty treats and drinks are also available at the gift shop. The pavilion sells bagged ice for your convenience.
Camping At Crater Of Diamonds State Park
Crater of Diamonds State Park’s 59-site campsite will close on July 26 for upgrades. Improvements will close the campground for months. Campers can also visit Daisy State Park, a quarter mile south of Daisy off U.S. 70. Daisy State Park is 25 minutes from Crater of Diamonds. A two-night minimum is required on Fridays and Saturdays, and a three-night minimum is required on holiday weekends for camping reservations up to a year in advance. Credit cards are accepted for reservations made over the phone or in person between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Lodge At Crater Of Diamonds State Park
From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, visitors can enjoy the park’s lodge, open every day from 8 am to 4 pm Weekends exclusively for the season’s final two weeks. Breakfast and lunch are available at the lodge’s restaurant, which features sandwiches, burgers, and excellent hand-scooped ice cream. Drinks and snacks are available at the gift store and from vending machines.
Fishing At Crater Of Diamonds State Park
Bank fishing on the Little Missouri River is popular for tourists to Crater of Diamonds State Park. You may fish in the river for largemouth bass, catfish, and bream. Since the water originates under Lake Greeson Dam, its cold temperature makes it ideal for fishing in the late summer.
Terrell Access, a public boat launch, provides river access across the park. Fishing for trout is excellent along the Little Missouri River below Lake Greeson Dam.
