Denali National Park and Preserve
Mount McKinley, which stands at a height of 6,962 meters (20,320 feet), may be found in Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska. The Alaska Range is comprised of a plethora of other breathtaking mountains as well as several significant glaciers. The greater than 6 million acres that make Denali have a comprehensive subarctic ecosystem home to huge species like grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep, and moose.
On February 26, 1917, the land was set aside and designated Mount McKinley National Park. In 1980, the original Park was added to what is now known as Denali National Park and Preserve, where it was designated a wilderness area. 1976 saw the Park get official recognition as an international biosphere reserve status.
