There is a group camping area and around 22 walk-to tent sites at George J. Hatfield SRA Campground. It can be found in the San Joaquin Valley, close to the Merced River. There are no reservations for tent sites. Reserve one of the group camping areas. The SRA and campground require some TLC. Care for the grounds is needed. Some picnic tables and fire pits at the campground need to be fixed. Tents only, please; there are no RV sites available. Campers use a central parking lot and trek to their sites.
