Heart Bar State Park

Heart Bar State Park

Heart Bar State Park is in the National Forest of San Bernardino, east of San Bernardino. The Heart Bar campground can be found close to the Rim of the World Scenic Byway.

Even though it does not offer all of the facilities available at other campgrounds, the Heart Bar Campground is consistently rated very highly by its guests. Because of its proximity, Jenks Lake is a well-liked destination for people interested in activities such as fishing and boating without motors. Wonderful paths are available for hikers and horseback riders to take that lead into the San Gorgonio Wilderness.

Camping At Heart Bar State Park

There are 89 RV, trailer, and tent sites at Heart Bar Campground. There are four distinct areas for camping. Most campsites can be rented in advance, while those in the Santa Ana Loop are kept for walk-in visitors. The nearest access to the field is via Aspen Loop. Almost every camping spot here is on a flat surface. While the tall pines give some shade, there isn’t enough undergrowth to separate some of the campsites from one another.

Campsites are typically rather isolated, which is a relief. Previous campers suggest a flashlight due to the lack of lighting in the loos. There are six locations with two rooms each. Camping reservations at this location must be at least 2 nights long on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends.

Skyline Group Campground

Skyline Group Campground can be found off the Heart Bar Family Campground’s westernmost exit. Tent camping or RV parking for up to 9 cars is permitted at the single group site with space for up to 25 persons.

At the group site, you’ll find amenities such as drinkable water, picnic tables, a communal fire ring, and a pedestal cooking grill. The camp is open from the middle of May until the majority of September. The group campsite requires a stay of two nights on weekends and three nights on holiday weekends, just like the family campsite does.
