Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama

Swimming:
Cool off during the hot summer months by swimming in the lakes at Oak Mountain State Park. There are several lakes. Swimmable lakes are Double Oak Lake and Beaver Lake. You can find the beach at Double Oak Lake off of Terrace Drive, while the one at Beaver Lake is next to the Aquapark by Flipside.
There are showers and changing rooms at both of these main beaches. If you’re going camping, you can use the small beach nearby.

Campers from all over the world flock to Oak Mountain State Park. Booking in advance should be considered while organizing a trip. You must plan ahead if you want to camp here because of the park’s high demand, especially on weekends and holidays.
