You can take one of the guided trips from Refugio State Beach offered by Paddle Sports Center and Santa Barbara Adventure Company, or you can bring your own kayak and explore the beautiful coastline at your own speed. Camping At Refugio Beach State Park

Wake up at one of the 66 campsites at Refugio State Beach to breathtaking panoramas after spending the night there. Each of the campsites features a picnic table and a barbecue pit, while amenities such as hot showers, bathrooms, and running water are just a few steps away.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to make campground reservations as far in advance as possible through the State of California’s Department of Parks and Recreation. In the middle of the campground, close to the water’s edge, you’ll find a convenience shop with a snack bar attached.

Hiking/Biking At Refugio Beach State Park

RV campers may enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands at Refugio State Beach State Park, which features a hiking and bicycling route with a distance of three miles known as the Ansio route.

This trail leads to El Capitan Beach, which is located not far away. Wheelchair users with enough strength can access some flat parts of the course. Refugio State Beach State Park allows bicycles exclusively on roadways. RV campers under 18 must wear helmets when biking, skating or scootering in the park.
