Camping At Sugarloaf Ridge State Park

Group Camping
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park has a designated group camping area for those traveling in larger groups. As many as 50 tent campers can find all they need at this campground, including picnic tables, grills, a fire pit, running water, and outhouses. Campers will be entertained for days at the Lower Bald Mountain Trail and the nearby Valley of the Moon Observatory, which are close to the campground. The group camping requires reservations, which can be booked as far in advance as six months.
Trails At Sugarloaf Ridge State Park
There are a variety of paths, from short, easy walks in the park to the challenging 8.2-mile Bald Mountain loop. The Napa Valley, Mount Saint Helena, and, on a clear day, the Sierra Nevadas and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco may all be seen from a variety of vantage points. Deer, gray foxes, and other animals frequent the park’s trails since it is their habitat. A 25-foot waterfall drops into the creek following the winter rainy season.
