Sulphur River Wildlife Mgmt. Area is located at 33°12′N, 93°56′W in Arkansas. This huge bottomland hardwood ecosystem spans 18,155 acres in the Red River Valley. Recreational options are plentiful, and the area’s natural beauty is protected.
A hard hunting experience can be had there due to the area’s abundant population of American Alligators. Waterfowl, deer, turkey, small game, and furbearers can be hunted here.
Anglers have access to the Sulphur River, which flows nearby, allowing them to fish for bass, crappie, and bream. Birdwatchers have the opportunity to observe a diverse selection of avian species, including those that are native to wetlands and passerines. It is only accessible by boat, and the water level is subject to fluctuation depending on the release from the dam.
